Keith Keating Memorial Tournament
Supporting Local Cancer Care
In memory of my father who passed away in June of 2013 after a courageous four year battle with cancer, I began a 16-team high school boys basketball tournament in his name. My father was a well-known figure in the basketball community, giving selflessly through coaching and managing of two provincial teams and six+ years of school basketball.

In January of 2014, the first annual tournament was a huge success. With the help of our generous sponsors, teams and volunteers we raised $12,500 to donate to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.

In the second year, the tournament expanded to 20 teams and was an even larger success raising $16,500 for the Cancer Care Foundation.

Most recently, the third annual KKMT expanded again to include eight female teams, bringing the total to 28 teams. At the end of the tournament, we proudly announced raising $21,000 for a three year total of $50,000.

Terry Fox Run Team
Running to end cancer!
Over the course of the past five years, I have organized and led the largest Terry Fox Run team in NL. The team peaked at over 125 members and has raised $37,500 for Cancer Research in Canada.
