Making the Hyperloop a reality
In August 2015, six universities came together to form OpenLoop. Entered as one of over 1200 teams, OpenLoop travelled to Texas in January of 2016 where they were selected as one of 30 finalists. In the next year, OpenLoop successfully built and tested their pod at SpaceX in Hawthorne, California.

Engineering Design
Designed a complex high pressure air system using MATLAB, SolidWorks, CFD, and pressure analysis that achieves flowrates required to deliver air supply to the novel air bearing system in a 800 kg pod for levitation at translational speeds of 300 km/hr.
Analyzed the braking system using MATLAB and developed the braking algorithm for the final pod implementation.
Developed a simulation model using fluid mechanics and an engineering equation solver to design the piping network, flow control and flow sensing. The model converged with the use of almost 200 equations and was later validated through testing.
Planned and executed over 500 hours of machining, system assembly and testing - primary troubleshooting contact.
Spearheaded testing of high pressure pneumatic systems, braking, mechanical system mounting and system integration.
Developed a GUI for displaying critical pod telemetry during testing and hyperloop runs.

Project Management
Project & Mechanical Design Lead
Managing a team of 75 students across six colleges while maintaining corporate relations with over 20 stakeholders.
Developed sponsor packages and material as a key member in securing over $40,000 in funding.
Prepared and delivered all technical design packages and presentations for SpaceX.
Led the development of project budgets, procedures, timelines, corporate relations, sponsorship and procurement.
Managed media relationships and was the primary contact for the creation of a Hollywood Innovation Film with Legendary Productions.
